“EQ Students” is here, the project that studies new models to develop emotional intelligence in children and young people

Fondazione is the Italian partner of “EQ Students”, a unique project aimed at developing, testing, and implementing a comprehensive support system for the development of emotional intelligence in school-aged children (6–15 years old), with the active participation of primary and lower secondary schools, parents, experts, and project partners in the participating countries. In the long term, it will contribute to building an emotionally intelligent generation, increasing awareness of EI in schools and the labor market!

The objectives that the Project aims to achieve are:

  • Develop, test, and implement a comprehensive system to support the development of children’s EQ (ages 6–15) with the active participation of end users
  • Enhance teachers’ and specialists’ skills in teaching EI to children
  • Support parents in developing their children’s emotional intelligence
  • Promote the development of EI components within national education systems
  • Contribute, in the long term, to raising emotionally intelligent generations.

The Project will therefore develop the following outputs:

  • Working model with children aged 6–10 for developing emotional intelligence;
  • Working model with children aged 11–15 for developing emotional intelligence;
  • Emotional intelligence assessment tool for students aged 11–15;
  • Training toolkit for teachers and parents to develop emotional intelligence in children and adolescents aged 6–15;
  • Hybrid game for adolescents aged 11–15;

Fondazione will develop the fourth output, the Training Toolkit for teachers and parents through the creation of an e-learning training course. The Foundation will also be responsible for evaluating the Project results.
