For over 20 years, the Patrizio Paoletti Foundation has been active in research and promoting global health for the well-being of both the individual and the community.
Anna is 16 and no longer wants to go out, attend school, or see her friends.
Many adolescents like her isolate themselves and withdraw because they feel inadequate and judged. Before it’s too late, the Patrizio Paoletti Foundation helps schools and families recognize the signs of emotional distress in adolescents.
According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), between 10% and 20% of young people worldwide suffer from mental disorders. About half of all mental illnesses manifest by the age of 14. The most common disorders include anxiety, depression, attention disorders, eating disorders, and risky behaviors. Suicide is one of the leading causes of death among young people aged 15 to 19.
These are the numbers of an emergency that can no longer wait.
TOGETHER, WE CAN REACH THEM FASTER.
Support Life-Changing Research
With your support, we can continue to promote the educational project “Prefigurare il Futuro” and thus ensure that every adolescent in schools across Italy has the right to emotional and psychosocial well-being.
Prefigurare il Futuro engages students, teachers, and parents every day in an awareness program focused on resilience, transforming vulnerabilities into strength and determination.
