Silence as a resource in educatio
This month, the Patrizio Paoletti Foundation is participating in an important scientific event dedicated to Positive Psychology. It will share research results on the silenceSilence, often overlooked in the frenzy of modern life, is a... More as a resource in education and as a tool for building overall health.
Intentional silence in neuro-psychopedagogical research
On June 14 and 15, the Patrizio Paoletti Foundation will be present in Rome at the XVI edition of the National Days of Positive Psychology of the SIPP Italian Society of Positive Psychology. It will present a talk titled Silence as a tool to transform adversities into growth opportunities: a qualitative study on Italian adolescents. Neuro-psychopedagogical research studies silence as a deliberate psychophysical condition aimed at better managing the inner world. Silence is a central element in meditative practices, suitable to be developed even in classrooms with adolescents. Silence facilitates self-compassion, awareness, and overall well-being.

At the National Days of Positive Psychology, the Foundation will present interviews conducted with students who participated in the training program Envisioning the Future. The benefits of the Silence Practice Device, based on the Spherical Model of Consciousness, will be explored in depth. The results show that adolescents experienced silence as an effective tool to achieve a state of calm and security to face the challenges and uncertainties of their age. They report its effectiveness also in managing social pressures and fostering personal growth. The authors of the study, carried out in collaboration between the Patrizio Paoletti Foundation and the University of Padua, are Tania Di Giuseppe, Carmela Lillo, Alessandro Maculan, and Grazia Serantoni.
The interdisciplinarity of scientific research on silence
The participation of the Patrizio Paoletti Foundation in the National Days of Positive Psychology emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinarity in neuro-psychopedagogical research. It is essential to approach silence from a neuroscientific, pedagogical, and psychological perspective, within the broader framework of global healthWhat is the definition of health proposed by the WHO in 1948... More. Within this horizon, scientific research on the Neurophysiology of Silence at the RINED Institute of the Patrizio Paoletti Foundation is developed. Here, silence is studied as a tool that, from its millennia-old application in contemplative disciplines, meets contemporary educational frontiers. The integration of knowledge, the intertwining of tradition and innovation allows for maximum development of awareness and potential applications for humanity.
From scientific research to implementation projects
The Patrizio Paoletti Foundation ensures immediate application of the most innovative neuro-psychopedagogical research in practical projects. In doing so, it guarantees maximum benefit in responding to the educational emergencyThe term “educational emergency” refers to a situation i... More, spreading concrete, real, and lasting changes. The Envisioning the Future project is entirely dedicated to schools and the well-being of adolescents and the educational community. It is a training program aimed at parents, teachers, and school staff, which also promotes the practice of silence as an educational and awareness tool. Schools can register for the new edition, ensuring pedagogical training for teachers accredited by the MIUR. Through training and workshop activities, participants will learn to transform vulnerabilities into strength and determination, cultivating the well-being and psychophysical health of both the individual and the community.
