Prefigure the future

“Prefigure the future: methods and techniques to build up hope and planning ability” is a project conceived by Patrizio Paoletti and realized by the psycho-pedagogic team of the foundation all over Italy.

Started in 2017 to promote resilience, hope and planning ability in communities struck by the earthquake in Umbria and in the Marche, in 2019 it became a project that responds to environmental, social and educational emergencies in real time all across Italy. In the three years since its inception it boasts the collaboration with many institutions, universities and associations, amongst which the Unesco Chair of the University of Basilicata, the University of Bari Aldo Moro, Acli Genova, Bottega del Terzo Settore, Fondazione Armonie d’Arte, Associazione Montessori Ma-Mò Cosenza. In addition, other institutions have granted their patronage, such as Marche Polytechnic University, Unindustria Roma-Frosinone-Latina-Rieti-Viterbo, Coni Marche and Coni Umbria, the counties of Umbria and Marche, the municipalities of

  • SCHOOL
  • ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
  • REGENERATION OF THE SOCIAL STRUCTURE

The social and educational emergency, which the project responds to is the difficulty of people and the community to “prefigure the future”. The training courses are aimed at all citizens and regard the re-qualification and enhancement of the personal in addition to the professional sphere. The intention of the project is to strengthen people, the environment and the contexts to provide for, to anticipate and prepare for the small and big changes of the future and the present.

The topics, which are approached with multidisciplinarity, are focused on positive abilities such as hope, resilience and prefiguration. The final goal is to promote the extraordinary possibility of the human mind and share practical tools with everyone that can help individuals and the whole, to transform the discomfort of uncertainty into will and attention.

Prefigure the future is organized on three macro fields of intervention and reaches all of Italy with free training initiatives and meetings, in-person or online. The beneficiaries are young people, parents, teachers, social workers, caregivers, representatives of institutions and helping professionals.
